pastor's  Story

 

Hi. My name is Farayi and my wife Afia and I have the awesome privilege of pastoring the church in Sydenham.

 

The church is a thriving, growing and vibrant part of the Sydenham community and is made up of a diverse culture of people who love God.

 

Coming from a broken home and a self-destructive lifestyle, I was 23 years old when I was confronted with the Gospel. I was in and out of relationships and was battling some serious addictions to drugs and alcohol when my sister invited me to church. That's when Jesus reached out to me.

It dawned on me for the first time, that if I had died I would not have made it to heaven, my sin separated me from the love of God and He rescued me.

 

Almost 18 years later, God has put me in a position where I can share my experiences with others and see His power at work in their lives.

 

Without a shadow of doubt, God is still in the business of changing lives and forgiving sins, healing the sick and saving souls!
